Guam Living Part I: Why You'll Hate the Tour Bus

On of the things you'll least like about living on Guam is getting stuck behind a tour bus.

Not because they impeded travel to your destination. You'll find they move surprisingly fast most of the time. Faster than they should be allowed to. At certain times of day, particularly in the the area surrounding the airport, its much like NASCAR with big vehicles. And it's not because they speed around looking as if they may flip over right in front of (or on top of) you, despite the suspension problems and the pronounced 20 degree lean to one side or another.

It's the emissions. They'll make you risk life and limb to maneuver around a bus as quickly as possible . Being behind a tour bus is somewhere you don't want to be on Guam. You'll find, particularly on take off, black clouds of billowing smoke plume from the tail pipe(s) and right into the interior of your car, and the interior of your lungs.

And just so I get my weekly plug for the website, if you're looking for a home to buy or rent on Guam, please check out my website at www.guamrentals.com. We'll be happy to help you.
