Hot Tapioca and Corn?

Hot Tapioca and Corn?

Over the weekend we once again found ourselves with things to do on our family day that we shouldn't be doing. Namely, work. So while out doing last minute errands we found ourselves hungry and at the Fiesta Resort's World Cafe.

I love the buffets around here, most of them are pretty good. My favorite is Pacific Island's Club, followed by Hilton, Westin, and Hyatt. Well, maybe not in that order. There are a few more I'm sure. Some of the hotels offer memberships that reward you with up to 50% off the hotel buffets, which can be quite expensive. Ask me which ones and I'll tell you.

Back on topic...

I'm not a tapioca expert by any means. I'll even go as far as saying I don't think I ever tried it until I came to Guam at the age of 38, when I discovered it was pretty good, at least it was the way the Hilton Resort served it. And I enjoyed it after many trips to the buffet. Honestly I'm not even sure what a tapioca is, if it's man made or the spawn of some plant or whatever, and I'm not going to google it to find out. I don't really want to know.

What I do know, is that it should never, ever, ever, be served hot, and with (of all things) CORN in it.

When I saw this bowl of something or another sitting on the desert side of the buffet, I wasn't even sure what it was until I took a closer look. I honestly thought it was bits of peach or something else sweet and tasty. And I didn't really look at it til i put it in my mouth. Still then I didn't know what it was for sure til I spit it back out.

Since this blog is the company blog, I'll spare further commentary.

Shame on you, World Cafe
