A few people have asked via email about the water quality on Guam.

Water filter before

I've personally never heard of any problems with the water in my 6+ years here. There will be the occasional rust spot on a white shirt, and the water doesn't taste that great, but I've never seen any reports of people getting sick from drinking it. I will say that the water is VERY hard here, fabric softener doesn't seem to make the clothes too soft, but I don't think there's anything necessarily wrong with drinking it.

It was only until recently I had a water softener and filtration system installed in my home and I have to say I'm much, much happier with the water. So are my clothes. So are my shower doors. And my hair is silky smooth, all inch and a half of it.

I'll be replacing my water filter pretty soon, so, in the never ending struggle to come up with new ideas for a blog post (since none of you ever give me any.
